SPX 2013!!!

Looks like I’m the ringleader for a merry band of artists for this year’s Small Press Expo, set for September 14th - 15th! And we all successfully got to snag a table!

For all five of us!

Now it’s down to planning, logistics, and farting out art like no one’s business! :’D

Wish us luck!

I didn’t wind up getting as much as I have in past SPXs on account of me spending most of my time manning the table and attempting to be a good salesperson (haha, I’m really not). But I still managed to escape and blow a chunk of my money on this awesome stuff! Or trade in some cases.

After spending some time fretting in front of the exhibition hall, Jade and I were the first two exhibitors to be let into the room! We rampaged a little bit before settling in to set up the table again. Those few glorious moments are recorded here in this silly video. :)

Day 2 of SPX!

The second day of SPX was pretty awesome too! I had some family stop by to check out our wares and I wound up splurging on great art again. My tablemates were silly and so were a few friends that came to visit us. I’ll try to do a full write up later, but my brain’s still trying to digest all the things that have happened as of late!

Day 1 of SPX!

First of all, I’ve gotta say that exhibiting at SPX was pretty much the highlight of my (somewhat miniscule) tabling experiences! While Otakon was fun, SPX is much more friendly to the exploration of new and original artists and much more open to looking at original content. It makes me really happy to be a part of this community and I’m looking forwards to more SPX exhibitions in the future!
